First demonstration of Israel's high-powered laser. A new anti-drone weapon.

- Rafael presented a wide range of unique, proven anti-aircraft solutions as well as the latest anti-drone systems at the fair.
- These include high-power lasers, i.e. high-energy laser systems that are revolutionizing air defense.
- For example, the new Iron Beam 450 high-power laser beam guidance system was publicly shown for the first time.
Rafael, whose air defense systems are considered the best in the world, is also a manufacturer of some of the most advanced, and already proven, laser anti-aircraft systems that can effectively and exceptionally cheaply destroy drones , which have now become the most important weapon of war in Ukraine.
Importantly, they demonstrated operational superiority over other similar systems, playing a unique role in building reliable defense and deterrence, and enabling seamless integration with existing systems and platforms. Among other things, the new Iron Beam 450 high-power laser beam guidance system was publicly demonstrated for the first time in London.
“The launch of the Iron Beam 450 laser is a breakthrough in high-power laser technology, revolutionizing air defense, enabling extremely low-cost yet highly effective target interception,” said Yoav Tourgeman, CEO and president of Rafael.
The Iron Beam 450 expands Rafael's laser portfolio with a model offering even greater range and interception rate, along with a sustainable single-action cost model . This portfolio also includes other high-energy laser systems, including the mobile Iron Beam-M, the naval Iron Beam, and the compact 10 kW Lite Beam.
Combating unmanned aerial vehiclesRafael also showcased its range of counter-unmanned aerial vehicle (UAS) systems. Among the featured counter-UAS systems were the Drone Dome, Spectrum Dome, Samson 30mm, Ghost Hunter, and Hunter Eagle.
They provide multi-layered protection against drones, drone swarms and loitering munitions , and their rapid deployment allows for efficient protection of forces and infrastructure.
In addition, Rafael presented its complete air and missile defense system, including components such as:
- Iron Dome - for combating air threats at short range.
- David's Sling - developed jointly with the United States, a solution for intercepting long-range offensive assets.
- The Spyder family of mobile medium-range (approx. 40 km) air defense solutions.
- MIC4AD situational awareness, command and control system.
- Sky Spotter passive early warning system.

This multi-layer air defense model allows the countries using it to effectively adapt its individual elements to their needs , while ensuring interoperability with allied forces.
Global partnerships and collaboration with strategic suppliersRafael's land solutions also include the Trophy system – the world's first and currently the only operational active protection system for armored vehicles. It is used on main battle tanks and armored fighting vehicles of several armies, protecting crews and platforms from anti-tank weapons and confirming that the Trophy active protection system (APS) is a key requirement for maneuver forces.
Rafael's suite of naval defense systems includes the C-Dome, a maritime variant of the Iron Dome, the Naval Iron Beam, the Torbuster anti-torpedo defense system, and the C-GEM active decoy targets. These systems provide the navy of the operating country with flexibility in selecting ship defense measures for both littoral and high-seas operations , and their open architecture enables integration across entire fleets.
At the same time, Rafael ensures that its production lines are based on global partnerships and collaborations with strategic suppliers, allowing the company to offer immediate capabilities with competitive delivery times. Rafael's industrial and localization programs foster strong, long-term partnerships, technology transfer, and local production, guaranteeing customers independence and sovereignty.
