AirPods Pro 3: This is how simultaneous translation works with Apple's headphones.

The new feature will also be available on headphone models that have active noise cancellation.
Knowing languages is starting to seem like a thing of the past. The use of artificial intelligence has fully entered this pending issue to try to break down language barriers, and Apple has decided to embark on this segment.
The Cupertino company announced the new AirPods Pro 3 yesterday with active noise cancellation and simultaneous translation. Thanks to the integration of Apple Intelligence and support from OpenAI , the headphones allow for fluent conversations in different languages.
To use them, you'll need to touch the two earbuds together, activating the translation function. This way, whenever they detect that you're speaking another language, the AirPods will reduce external noise and switch to translating the previously set language. Furthermore, according to Apple, they always use meaningful phrases, not single words, thanks to the use of AI.
The translation is played directly into the headphones, and the translated text appears on the user's iPhone. The user can also show their phone to the other person with their translated sentences to maintain a conversation.

Also, for an optimal experience, both speakers should use AirPods, which will simultaneously translate the conversation.
At launch on September 19, live translation will be available in English, Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese , with plans to expand to Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese by the end of 2025.
Additionally, the brand's active noise-cancelling headphones, the AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4, will also be able to be used as simultaneous translators with the software update, thanks to their use of the H2 chip.
Apple's headphones aren't the first to incorporate this feature. Google introduced this feature a year ago in its Pixel Buds Pro, fully integrated with Google Translate and allowing the user to hear simultaneous translation in the headphones while having a conversation.
Other brands, such as Vasco, also sell translation products of this type, as does Timekettle.
Other newsApple claims its AirPods Pro 3 are the world's best wireless in-ear headphones with active noise cancellation. This is made possible by ultra-low-noise microphones, advanced computational audio, and new foam-infused ear cushions that improve passive isolation. Plus, with active noise cancellation, AirPods Pro 3 now provide up to eight hours of battery life.
Another improvement is the addition of a custom photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor that emits 256 pulses of invisible infrared light per second to measure light absorption in the bloodstream. This innovation, combined with the sensor fusion of the AirPods Pro's accelerometers, the gyroscope, GPS, and the new on-device AI model of the iPhone, allows users to initiate up to 50 different workouts, record their heart rate , and calories burned.
They will go on sale on September 19 for 249 euros.
