How can you remove ads on WhatsApp? Users are concerned about their privacy.

WhatsApp has more than 3 billion users worldwide and until now has largely avoided advertising, but that's just changed. The messaging service has launched a project to monetize through them.
This new advertising won't be as intrusive as the ones that typically appear in other apps, as they will be promoted posts, and Meta will be responsible for selecting them based on each user's tastes, preferences, and interactions.
People who use the tool daily are not happy with the new update, as they are concerned that their privacy and data will be put at risk with the arrival of the ads.
Can WhatsApp ads be removed? Many are wondering if there's a way to remove the ads. According to the company, they can't be removed , since, just like on Instagram, if you want to see your friends' and family's status, you'll have to watch the ads for a few seconds.

For those who are thinking these ads will also appear in individual or group chats, rest assured, as they will only appear in WhatsApp statuses.
Another update coming to WhatsApp is channel promotion. This will appear in the "News" section, where you'll see which channels are being promoted. Additionally, administrators can pay to increase content visibility.
"These new features will appear only in the What's New tab, separate from your personal chats. This means that if you only use WhatsApp to chat with friends and loved ones, your experience won't change ," the company explained on its website.

Meta will use its algorithm to show you ads that interest you; to do so, they will take into account several requirements.
“To show ads in statuses or channels that might interest you, we'll use limited information, such as your country, language, channels you follow, and how you interact with the ads you see. For people who have opted in to adding WhatsApp to Account Center, we'll also use ad preferences and information from all your Meta accounts ,” the company stated.
They also assured people that they can rest assured that chats won't be spied on, as the new update will be available for WhatsApp statuses.
