JBL Flip 7 arrives in Colombia: smart sound, 16-hour battery life, and extreme durability

JBL announced the official launch of the Flip 7 in Colombia, the next generation of its iconic portable speaker that debuted in 2012. With a refreshed design that remains true to its cylindrical form factor, this model introduces significant improvements in power, battery life, connectivity, and durability , all aimed at delivering an optimized listening experience in any environment.

One of the Flip 7's key new features is the addition of the AI ​​Sound Boost system, an intelligent technology that analyzes volume and content type to automatically adjust sound performance. This ensures clear and balanced sound quality regardless of whether listening to music softly or at maximum volume, avoiding distortion even in demanding conditions.

The device also features notable improvements in battery life. Its lithium-ion polymer battery (4800 mAh / 17.28 Wh) provides up to 14 hours of continuous playback, which can be extended to 16 hours thanks to the Playtime Boost feature. A full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours via a USB-C port with 5V/3A input.

In terms of design, the Flip 7 maintains its portability with a compact and robust form factor. Its IP68 certification guarantees resistance to water, dust, and even drops, making it an ideal outdoor companion. It also includes the PushLock system, which makes it easy to transport by attaching to backpacks or using straps and other accessories.

Sound performance has also been optimized. The speaker includes a 45 x 80 mm woofer and a 16 mm tweeter, with an output power of 25 W and 10 W RMS, respectively. The frequency response ranges from 60 Hz to 20 kHz, and its signal-to-noise ratio exceeds 80 dB.

In terms of connectivity, the Flip 7 is updated with Bluetooth 5.4 and support for A2DP 1.4 and AVRCP 1.6 profiles. It operates in the 2400 to 2483.5 MHz frequency range , with a transmission power of up to 14 dBm. Thanks to the integration of Auracast™ technology, it can be linked to other compatible speakers without the need for cables, creating an expandable surround sound system.
