Satellite internet directly to your cell phone: Starlink is now available in Argentina on these models.

Starlink satellite internet , developed by SpaceX , is now available in Argentina starting July 15, 2025, thanks to a partnership with T-Mobile. The new technology allows Android and iPhone phones to connect without the need for external antennas .

This implementation aims to bring Internet access to rural and isolated areas where terrestrial networks are unreachable or too expensive. Among the key points of this innovation for the country is that access will be automatic , without configuration or additional equipment.

This technological advancement enables cell phones to maintain connection in remote locations using low-orbit satellites, without relying on cell towers or cables. The initial service will include text messaging, location services, and emergency calls, with the possibility of adding voice and data later.

The impact goes beyond entertainment and communication. In rural areas, this technological advancement can accelerate access to virtual education, telemedicine, and new opportunities.
