WhatsApp will allow you to send your bank CLABE with one click.

Have you ever had to dictate or copy your CLABE number number by number, afraid of making a mistake? That experience is about to be a thing of the past.
During the WhatsApp Business Summit 2025, Meta announced a package of updates that will change the way entrepreneurs and businesses connect with their customers. Mexico was the center of attention at this event, where it was revealed that the app will allow you to send your interbank CLABE with a single click, improving the way businesses receive payments.
Among the most striking innovations is the feature that will allow you to share your bank's CLABE code directly in a chat, with a format that makes it easy to copy and paste the 18 digits into the banking app.
Although the app won't process payments directly, this tool promises to prevent errors, save time, and strengthen customer trust thanks to end-to-end encryption, which protects sensitive information.
Meta also unveiled an artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem that seeks to transform the customer service experience. The vision is clear: every business will have a virtual assistant providing 24/7 support.
This includes:
- AI in chats and ads: automatic responses and support in WhatsApp, Messenger, and even Instagram and Facebook ads.
- Personalization: Companies will be able to train their AI to respond according to their style and needs.
- Responsibility: Meta emphasized its commitment to safe and controlled use of AI, giving users the option to block businesses if they wish.
The update didn't stop at payments or AI. Meta also introduced tools to boost monetization and business connection:
- In-app calls for large companies via API.
- Centralized marketing campaigns on WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Monetization in the News tab, with subscriptions and ads in WhatsApp statuses.
With these innovations, WhatsApp seeks to establish itself as a comprehensive commerce platform, where communication, payments, and marketing coexist in a single space.
For the millions of entrepreneurs and small businesses in Mexico, this update represents not only a technological improvement, but also a window into new ways to grow and connect with customers more efficiently and securely.
