60 countries, one recipe for success. This is something Polish companies still don't understand.

  • Big Talks is a new format in WNP, in which Hubert Bigdowski, editor-in-chief of WNP Finanse, talks to personalities from the world of business, economy, and financial markets.
  • The guest of the premiere episode of the new series was Artur Wiza, vice president of Asseco Poland, a Polish IT giant present in over 60 markets.
  • We talked about cybersecurity, the uniqueness of Africa in the context of technological adaptation, and the Polish approach to business conquest of the world.

We asked our guest why Polish companies are reluctant to expand abroad. The question was not accidental – Artur Wiza is a true expert in the specifics of international expansion, having helped Asseco Poland with successful acquisitions worldwide for 13 years. The Rzeszów-based technology giant operates in over 60 countries.

"The trick is to understand the specifics of local markets, not to impose your own rules or beliefs . This is fundamental. It's not always a good idea to take over a company whose owner wants to exit through sale. You need to find someone who wants to develop the business—in cooperation with the acquirer—in partnership with them."

The African art of technological adaptation and the desire to learn from the best

Artur Wiza also spoke with us about what Poles can learn from the world and what the world can learn from us. He also talked about who Poles, who are capable of implementing very interesting and challenging projects, should learn from. Which country is at the forefront of technology and why?

We also talked about the most exotic markets in which Asseco Poland operates. It turns out it's a country in Africa. Which one? Why there? All this in the following conversation:

Cybersecurity as Insurance: Caution vs. Reaction

If new technologies and software are at the forefront, then cybersecurity is also a key consideration. Why is online security like insurance in the early 1990s?

If you are wondering whether humans are the last and still the weakest link in cybersecurity, what are the relationships between artificial intelligence and attention to technological resilience, where the niche nature of golf in Poland comes from and why the Czechs are better than us - we invite you to watch the first episode of the Big Talks series.
