Digithon is back, 320 candidates for the digital marathon in Puglia

Digithon is back, 320 candidates for the digital marathon in Puglia

There are 320 applications from all over Italy to the call for ideas to participate in the tenth edition of Digithon, the digital marathon dedicated to startups and innovation that will be held in Bisceglie (Barletta-Andria-Trani) from 11 to 13 September, in the old Mastrototaro sawmills. The presentation took place at the headquarters of Confindustria Bari-Bat in the presence, among others, of the creator and founder Francesco Boccia and the president of Confindustria Bari-Bat, Mario Aprile. Of all the projects that arrived by midnight on 30 June, one hundred will be admitted to the evaluation of the scientific committee that will select the best for the final. Over the course of the three days, the most promising ideas will compete in a competition that will also be an opportunity for training, dissemination and in-depth analysis with talks, panels and debates open to the public.

At the end, the Digithon2025 prize will be awarded, with a check for ten thousand euros offered by Confindustria Bari-Bat (September 13 in Piazza Castello). However, there are also scholarships and other prizes up for grabs made available by partner companies for a total value of 50 thousand euros. During the marathon, participants will have five minutes to propose their business idea. To obtain the prize, they will have to answer questions from analysts and investors, but the social vote will also be taken into account (it can be expressed on the platform www.digithon.it). The portal itself has become the online point of reference for a network that today has over 2,400 startups. This year, Digithon also renews its collaboration with EY, protagonist of a panel dedicated to the EY Ai barometer, an analysis of the impact of artificial intelligence in key sectors of the economy. The Digithon training day will also return, a workshop organized in collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo innovation center.

And on the tenth anniversary of its birth, Digithon changes skin and evolves, becoming a foundation. The announcement was made during the presentation of the digital marathon. The goal is "to transform the marathon into a permanent innovation district that maintains its roots in Puglia, but has an international vision - explained the organizers - and that aims to make the Mezzogiorno a reference hub for southern Europe by involving universities, research centers, large companies and startups".
