Leonardo and e-Geos create a digital twin of Italian soil.

Leonardo, through e-Geos, (company controlled by the Italian Space Agency 20% and by Telespazio 80%, "will support the development department sustainable of the Ministry of Environment and Security energy in the creation of the digital twin of the soil Italian". The project, within the framework of the PNRR investments for "an advanced monitoring and forecasting system", provides "a high-resolution digital terrain model that, with the use of aerial laser surveys and aerogravimetric data, will constitute a strategic element for the knowledge of the morphology of the territory and the basis of future 'digital twins' which will be able to simulate and further study the behavior".
