Apple unveils the iPhone 17 at its biggest event of the year: schedule, how to watch live, and all the rumors

The biggest day of the year for the mobile industry has arrived. Apple announced this Tuesday, at its "Awe Dropping" event, the new iPhone 17 —which could include an ultra-thin model —and the updated Apple Watch and AirPods , all devices equipped with new artificial intelligence (AI) tools.

Although Apple is an extremely secretive company and tries to prevent information about its projects from leaking before their official launch, in recent weeks the specialized press has managed to extract many details about the new products that could be announced starting at 2:00 PM (Argentine time) at the company's headquarters in Cupertino , California.

Media speculates that the big news of the event will be the unveiling of the thinnest and lightest device in the smartphone range, the iPhone 17 Air .

According to rumors, this phone is expected to have a 6.6-inch OLED display and a thickness of just 5.5 mm (2.3 mm thinner than the iPhone 16). The device is also said to feature a single 24-megapixel camera on the rear.

As for the rest of the iPhone 17 lineup, for the first time since 2020's iPhone 12 Pro, the Pro models will be redesigned , with the backs of the phones getting a new camera area that spans the entire length of the top third of the device, similar to the design of Google's Pixel phones.
