Cuatroochenta signs the former director of Cybersecurity for the Presidency of the Government

Mar López is the new CEO of Sofistic, the cybersecurity subsidiary of the Castellón-based group.

Sofistic, the cybersecurity company of Grupo Cuatroochenta, has appointed Mar López as its new chief executive officer (CEO) .

Mar López has had an extensive career in the public sector, holding strategic positions. From 2012 to 2021, she served as head of the Office of Cybersecurity and Combating Disinformation at the Department of Homeland Security of the Presidency of the Government.

During that same period, she also served as secretary of the National Cybersecurity Council , playing a key role in coordinating national digital security policies. She led initiatives such as the 2019 National Cybersecurity Strategy, the 2022 National Security Plan, and the launch of the National Cybersecurity Forum.

For the past four years, she has served as an associate director at Accenture , leading strategic cybersecurity projects for the public and healthcare sectors.

The Castellón-based company notes that Mar López's appointment comes "at a time of growing demand for resilient and adaptive cybersecurity solutions in the face of a constantly evolving threat landscape."

With offices in Spain, Panama, Colombia, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic, Sofistic has established itself as a strategic partner for financial institutions, critical infrastructure, and governments.
