Mexican agents mistakenly shoot and kill a seven-year-old boy in Reynosa.

MADRID (EUROPA PRESS).- Agents from the Tamaulipas State Attorney General's Office opened fire on a family and mistakenly killed a 7-year-old boy on Thursday in the Carlos Cantú neighborhood of Reynosa.
Officers opened fire on a vehicle carrying a family of two adults and a 7-year-old child from Ciudad Victoria. They first shot at the vehicle's tires and then immediately opened fire on its occupants, according to the Mexican newspaper La Jornada.
The father was grazed by a bullet in the face, his wife was shot twice in the arm, and the youngest was shot in the head. When the officers approached and saw that it was a family and there were no weapons in the vehicle, they apologized because they had "been confused."
The adults were taken for medical attention, but the child died due to the severity of his injuries.
