Tesla sets a milestone: robotaxi arrives to its owner by itself, without a driver at the wheel

Most drivers agreed that this car offers "smooth and comfortable" rides for 148 kilometers, and some consider the arrival of the robotaxi "the beginning of a new era." However, only a lucky few will be able to enjoy this autonomous vehicle, since its price ranges between $20,000 and $30,000 (approximately €17,000 and €25,000). But surprisingly, Tesla has announced the first delivery of a robotaxi , so we could assume that the first owners of these cars already exist.

According to what Elon Musk's car company has announced on the social network X (formerly Twitter), a Tesla Model Y car drove itself autonomously from the Tesla factory to the owner's home , crossing from cities to highways during a half-hour journey.

Elon Musk celebrated this milestone on his X account , although it was not to be less, since this technology magnate describes the deployment of robotaxis as "the culmination of a decade of hard work." However, the Reuters agency points out that Tesla still faces major challenges that call into question road safety, since videos have been discovered where these cars appear traveling in the wrong direction.

X user Sawyer Merritt recounted on his social media profile that, in 36 hours, he traveled 148 kilometers in a total of 20 trips for $84 (approximately €70). As for how much each trip costs , the cost is $4.20 (approximately €3.50).
