If I had to point out a drawback, it would be that I don't particularly like colored lights and prefer something more subdued , but you can leave them off if you want. And I will say that my kids thought it was crazy to be able to set up to seven different shades on one fan—the remote's batteries are fine, thank you.

That is, if you like to give your home a chill or modern feel, it's a plus. But if that's too much for you, don't worry: you can turn off the LED light ring . It's not a requirement for using the fan.

Obviously, the worst thing about this fan is that the materials it's made from are inevitably cheap —for that price!—but the truth is, it doesn't really stand out in that regard.
