This ALDI fan is what you need this summer if you don't have air conditioning. And if you do, it's also

With the arrival of summer and increasingly frequent heat waves , keeping the house cool becomes a challenge . We raise the blinds in the morning, lower them around midday, ventilate at night... and even then, there's often no choice but to turn on the air conditioning. But AC isn't always the ideal solution : it can skyrocket your electricity bill, has a considerable environmental impact, and shouldn't be overused, especially at night. Then come those dreaded summer colds.

That's why fans remain one of the most practical and sustainable ways to cool your home . I've tried several over the past few years: some top-of-the-range, affordable ones, like this one from Dyson , and others that are more affordable but still very effective, like this one from Levoit .

During this first Saharan episode of 2025—who was complaining so much about the rain?—I've been testing ALDI's bladeless fan with LED light , which once again returns to the supermarket chain's shelves on June 14 for just €49.99.

I'll tell you what I thought, but it can be summed up in one sentence: with that price and its features, it's going to sell like hotcakes and probably, like last year , it'll sell out quickly.

Design that fits in any home

I'll start by pointing out something I never tire of saying: gadgets have gone from being gadgets to being decorative items in our homes . And that's not a bad thing. It seems that manufacturers in general have finally understood that having technology doesn't mean putting a huge thing in the middle of our home.

The thing is, beautiful design usually comes at a price . In this case, ALDI hits the mark: we have a sleek, white fan with an LED light that gives it a modern look. It fits well with the decor of the living room or bedroom without clashing or taking up too much space .

Something that stands out about this fan is that it has no blades, so it is safer if there are children or pets in the house and, in addition, it is easier to clean .

If I had to point out a drawback, it would be that I don't particularly like colored lights and prefer something more subdued , but you can leave them off if you want. And I will say that my kids thought it was crazy to be able to set up to seven different shades on one fan—the remote's batteries are fine, thank you.

That is, if you like to give your home a chill or modern feel, it's a plus. But if that's too much for you, don't worry: you can turn off the LED light ring . It's not a requirement for using the fan.

Obviously, the worst thing about this fan is that the materials it's made from are inevitably cheap —for that price!—but the truth is, it doesn't really stand out in that regard.

For less than 50 euros, this fan could be the best purchase of the summer if you don't want to use air conditioning.

More than enough power

With 50W and three speeds, this fan is more powerful than it looks. It easily cools a large room, even the living room . You can choose between three modes—normal, nature, or sleep—and also activate oscillation to better distribute the air.

The best part? It's not excessively loud . It's not completely silent, but it doesn't bother you if you're watching a series or sleeping.

In fact, it's a pretty good option for sleeping. The fan includes a programmable timer of up to 12 hours and a remote control , making it very convenient to use in your bedroom. You can leave it running for a while at night without worrying about turning it off afterward.

Ideal for the bedroom: includes a timer of up to 12 hours and can be controlled by remote control.

Why it's worth it

This bladeless fan is ideal for those looking for more than just a functional appliance. If you're concerned about the aesthetics of your home, if you have small children or pets and want to avoid risks, or if you simply want an effective alternative to air conditioning, this option is for you. It's also perfect for small apartments where every inch counts , as it takes up little space.

Although air conditioning is a quick solution, it's not always the most advisable. Not only because of the energy costs and its impact on the environment, but also because of our health: excessive use of cold air can cause colds, dry throats, or even muscle aches . That's why fans like ALDI's bladeless model are a good alternative.

For 49.99 euros , this bladeless fan is a real bargain. 100% recommended. It cools well, is safe, practical, and discreet. I've already mentioned that its weak point is that it's a bit plasticky in terms of finish, but for the price, that certainly shouldn't be surprising. And it looks pretty convincing, too.

ALDI has proven on other occasions that when it launches well-thought-out products at a good price, they fly . We saw it last year with this very fan and other air conditioning gadgets . So, if this model interests you, it's best not to think twice: it will go on sale on June 14th in all Spanish supermarkets, will be available for a limited time only, and will disappear from the shelves in the blink of an eye .

In addition to the remote control, it can be controlled with the included buttons.
