Young People Building the Future begins registration: requirements for monthly support of 8,480 pesos

MEXICO CITY (apro).- This Monday, June 2 , a new registration period began for the Youth Building the Future program.

The program aims to integrate this population group into the workforce by providing practical training in a company, business, workshop, social organization, or even government offices.

"The @JovConFuturo application process is now open! If you are between 18 and 29 years old, starting today you can apply for a job. This program is now a constitutional right that promotes youth development," the General Coordination of Welfare Programs of the Government of Mexico recalled on its X account this Monday.

The record

Starting this Monday, Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro (Young People Building the Future) opens a new application period . This means young people will be able to see available positions near where they live and apply to the job center of their interest.

These are the steps:

• Register on the platform jovenesconstruyendoelfuturo.stps.gob.mx or at one of the mobile offices deployed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, the program operator.
• The targeting map shows how many open spaces there are in the town or municipality.
• Once you apply to a job center, keep an eye on the platform, as they will call for an interview to learn about the site and explain the tasks you will need to learn and perform, in accordance with a work plan. After this step, you'll be asked to:
• Days later, the interested party will receive a notification to find out whether they stayed or not.

When do other periods open?

If the interested young person doesn't end up with a preferred option, there will be additional application periods in August, October, and December of this year.

Requirements

The only requirements to enter Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro are to be between 18 and 29 years old and not be working or studying .

Supports

• The training lasts 12 months, during which the Mexican government provides a payment equivalent to the monthly minimum wage, which in 2025 is 8,480 pesos, plus IMSS health insurance.
• Since its inception in 2019, the program claims to have benefited 3,164,717 young people , 60% of whom are women and 40% men.
• Of the graduates, 7 out of 10 have found employment or productive work, according to the Coordination of Well-being Programs.
• At the beginning of May , 80,000 new apprentices joined the thousands of workplaces participating in Youth Building the Future.
• The program has a planned social investment of 24.205 billion pesos for 2025, with the goal of recruiting 450,000 young people.
