OpenAI is developing four AI-focused products

We already know that OpenAI and former Apple designer Jony Ive are working together to develop electronic devices designed for Artificial Intelligence tools, but at the moment, details about these gadgets are not yet known.

However, The Information website claims to have had access to confidential information through people “with direct knowledge of the matter”, noting that among the products to be developed is a device “similar to a smart speaker without a screen”.

The same sources from the publication note that this product should be launched in late 2026 or early 2027, adding that OpenAI and Ive are also considering developing smart glasses, a digital voice recorder and also a 'pin' - an idea that was already explored by a startup called Humane and that did not go as well as expected.

Meanwhile, the publication notes that OpenAI has already begun establishing contacts to secure the production of its first electronic devices. Among the companies already contacted is Luxshare, and it is known that OpenAI has also approached Goertek.

Note that these two Chinese companies are known suppliers to Apple.
