Southern Delta Aquarids Meteor Shower to Peak in Late July

The Moscow Planetarium has announced the main astronomical events of July 2025. One of them will be the Southern Delta Aquarids meteor shower.

The number of meteors in the sky will peak on July 30, with an expected rate of up to 25 per hour. Since the Moon will be near its first quarter phase, its light will not interfere with night sky observation.

Astrophysicists said that it is better to watch the meteor shower from the Southern Hemisphere. In northern latitudes, you should look at the sky before dawn.
