A noteworthy development ahead of GTA 6! The leak source shared: 'Closed'

As the release date for GTA 6 is eagerly awaited, Rockstar Games , the developer of the video game series, may be making significant changes to its Social Club platform, which has been providing online services to players for years. While the company hasn't officially announced anything, a reliable leaker suggests it's at least a little off-putting.

'ROCKSTAR GAMES SOCIAL CLUB IS CLOSED'

According to Insider-Gaming, a reliable Rockstar Games leaker named "Videotechuk" has claimed that Rockstar Games' online social platform, Rockstar Games Social Club, has been discontinued. The site's URL now redirects to the homepage.

The Rockstar Games Social Club served as a centralized platform for Rockstar games, allowing members to connect, track their progress, and access exclusive content.

"There's currently no access to elements like user profiles, walls, photos, and videos. But this could be part of a new platform plan," the source said.

Social Club offered features such as forming and joining gangs in Grand Theft Auto , creating and sharing content such as custom races and missions, and accessing the GTA Online stock market.

IS A NEW PLATFORM COMING FOR GTA 6?

Despite its innovative nature, the service became outdated over time, and users began reporting serious issues. The source stated, "Social Club was extremely outdated, with numerous issues like gang takeovers and easy account targeting. They've likely finally started working on a new platform for GTA 6 (GTA VI)."

However, it's worth noting that Rockstar Games hasn't yet officially announced the closure of Rockstar Games Social Club or a new platform. For now, everything written is based on the claim shared by Videotechuk.
