Apple and Samsung are preparing to separate the 'Plus' models

Companies are ramping up their efforts to usher in a new era, particularly with plans for radical changes to smartphones. It appears both Apple and Samsung are abandoning their Plus models, which will be replaced by slimmer versions.

PLUS MODELS MAY SLOWLY LEAVE US

We saw Apple introduce the iPhone 16 Plus with the latest iPhone 16 series. The Air will replace the Plus model in the iPhone 17 series. It appears Samsung is following Apple's lead.

Although Samsung introduced a Plus model with the Galaxy S25 series, the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Edge, and S26 Ultra models are reportedly coming in 2026. Samsung will also discontinue the Plus model in 2026.
