Armed attack on Yüreğir Mayor Demirçalı's workplace

Yüreğir Mayor Ali Demirçalı reported that an unidentified individual came to his workplace in the 100. Yıl neighborhood and shot at his office chair. Demirçalı's statement is as follows:

My workplace was attacked by an unidentified assailant. The individual who entered my office and fired at my office chair fled the scene. Thankfully, there were no casualties or injuries. I want to state this frankly: no tyranny or threat can deter us from our path. Our sole purpose is to serve the people of Yüreğir and add value to our country. We will continue to walk this path with determination. I have full confidence that this incident will be resolved as soon as possible, and that the perpetrator, and any perpetrators behind it, will be held accountable before the courts. Let no one forget this: we recognize no power other than the will of our nation and our responsibility to serve our people. Those who think they can intimidate us with shady schemes and intimidation are gravely mistaken. We stand firm on the path of service for Yüreğir, for Adana, and for our country.
