Attention! Important changes to ATM deposits and withdrawals

The value of the 200 lira, the highest denomination in Turkish Lira, has fallen to $4.85, while rising inflation continues to create cash handling problems. For a long time, ATMs only allowed deposits and withdrawals with 200 lira notes. Consequently, the low daily withdrawal and deposit limits did not meet customer expectations.
LIMITS HAVE INCREASED
Garanti BBVA recently changed its withdrawal limits. This month, it raised the limits for card and QR code deposits to 185,000 TL.
While many banks in Türkiye are increasing their limits, the ceiling for ATM withdrawals will be determined by the location of the ATM where the transaction will be made. This means different limits will apply to non-bank ATMs and bank ATMs.
DIFFERENT LIMITS IN BRANCH AND OUTSIDE BRANCHAs of September, banks made changes to commission-free withdrawal and deposit transactions via ATMs.
Withdrawal limits for transactions made at standalone ATMs located on streets, in subways, and in shopping malls are set at between 10,000 and 15,000 Turkish Lira. Daily withdrawal limits at ATMs in bank branches range from 35,000 to 50,000 Turkish Lira.
With this application, banks aim to provide customers with more flexible and higher-limit services while controlling transaction costs.
