Entry to forest areas is prohibited in Şanlıurfa

Due to the increasing number of forest fires across Türkiye, the Şanlıurfa Governorship has taken a series of precautions throughout the city.

In a statement made by the Governor's Office, it was announced that entry to forest areas is prohibited and that picnics with fires in recreation areas and wooded areas close to forests will not be allowed until October 31, 2025.

According to the decision, the use of fire-powered equipment such as barbecues and samovars in and around forest areas is also considered within the scope of the ban.

The Governor's Office announced that inspections will be increased to enforce the ban. Gendarmerie, Police, Forest Protection Units, and Municipal Police will regularly monitor compliance.
