Future fashion: Smart earrings and necklaces are on the way

While the entire tech industry is focused on creating new types of electronic devices that will bring AI to the masses, Samsung is also considering developing AI earrings and necklaces.

A new wave of devices with artificial intelligence will allow users to communicate and get things done faster without having to take their phones out of their pockets, Won-joon Choi, general manager of Samsung's mobile experience division, told CNN.

According to Samsung, such new devices could be something the user wears around their neck, in their ear, or on their finger. "So it could be something you wear, like glasses, earrings, a watch, a ring, or sometimes a necklace," Won-joon said.

Tech giants see an opportunity to develop new products around artificial intelligence, a technology that some say will have as big an impact as the internet itself.

IT STARTED WITH GLASSES

AI services like OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Gemini have moved beyond basic text messaging and are now getting better at handling complex tasks.

This has led tech companies to look for devices that require less manual data entry than smartphones, where the user is largely forced to type.

This quest continues at full speed, starting with smart glasses.
