Getac Launches New AI-Ready V120 Laptop and F120 Tablet

Getac Technology Corporation, a leading provider of rugged computing and mobile video solutions and a manufacturer of advanced in-house capabilities, has announced the launch of two versatile new field devices. The first, the F120, is the world's first fully rugged Copilot+ PC in a tablet form factor. The V120 is an AI-enabled, fully rugged notebook designed to deliver a superior computing experience in demanding work environments.

Building on Getac’s best-selling F110 and V110 models, both new devices leverage the power of AI to achieve new levels of productivity in the field, driven by extensive real-world research and customer dialogue. Common upgrades include larger 12.2-inch displays with a new narrow bezel design, thinner and lighter builds, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, two ThunderboltTM 4 ports, hot-swappable batteries, TPM 2.0, and durable MIL-STD-810H/IP66 certifications. These features represent a generational leap in performance and reliability for field professionals.

F120 Copilot+ The World's First Fully Rugged Tablet with PC

Copilot+ PCs are the fastest and smartest Windows devices currently on the market, featuring powerful processors and access to highly advanced AI models that can fundamentally transform field workflows and operations. Getac’s new F120 features a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) capable of 40+ TOPS (Trillion Operations Per Second), 16GB of RAM, 256GB of SSD storage, and support for at least one type of biometric security authentication, making the F120 a Copilot+ PC. By bringing powerful edge AI to a fully rugged form factor, it transforms how field professionals operating in harsh environments work. V120 Fully Rugged Laptop – AI-Ready Convertible Powerhouse

Shaped by years of proven use in key industries, the V120 builds on Getac's best-selling V110. It incorporates real-world feedback into a refined convertible hinge design that makes the device appear more like a tablet and meets the evolving needs of frontline professionals.

At the heart of the V120 is an Intel® Core™ Ultra 200H Series processor, featuring integrated Intel® Arc™ GPUs and Intel® Turbo Boost technology, delivering efficient AI acceleration and smooth multitasking in demanding applications. The device comes standard with 8GB of DDR5 memory and a 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD, with the option to upgrade to 64GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD for users who need more capacity.

Bigger Screens, Smarter Form Factors

Both the F120 and V120 feature a larger LumiBond display with Smart Touch and Getac sunlight-readable technology, increasing the screen size to 12.2 inches from the 11.6 inches of their predecessors. The V120 offers 1,000 nits of brightness for clear visibility in vehicles and mobile workstations. For intensive outdoor use in direct sunlight, the F120 boosts brightness to 1,200 nits. With a new narrow-bezel design, both devices are thinner and lighter than the previous generation despite the increased screen size, improving mobility without sacrificing durability.

Uninterrupted Connection and Robust Performance

Designed for always-on field operations, both devices feature Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 for fast and stable wireless connectivity. Both models come standard with dual Thunderbolt™ 4 Type-C ports. The V120 offers an optional third port for added peripheral flexibility. Additional connectivity options for users working in remote locations include a dedicated GPS module, 4G LTE, 5G Sub-6, and Dual SIM (Nano-SIM 4FF and e-SIM). Both new devices feature Getac’s LifeSupport replaceable battery technology for all-day productivity, with additional high-capacity batteries available for extended operation away from charging facilities. Additionally, both devices include a robust suite of data security features, including TPM 2.0, as standard. Additional security options, such as Intel vPro® Technology, a smart card reader, and Absolute Persistence®, are also available if needed.

Like most Getac devices, the F120 and V120 are MIL-STD-810H and IP66 certified and can operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -29°C to 63°C (-20°F to 145°F). The F120 also withstands drops from heights of up to 6 ft (1.8 m), while the V120 withstands drops from heights of up to 4 ft (1.2 m). Both devices feature enhanced shock-absorbing corners for added protection. Optional salt fog certification and ANSI/UL compliance make both devices suitable for use in corrosive, regulated, and high-hazard environments.

Public safety professionals, such as police officers and emergency first responders, can use the V120’s AI capabilities in conjunction with the Getac Voice app to transcribe witness statements at the scene in real time and instantly convert them to text for written reports. Witnesses can then sign the reports using the device’s touchscreen.
