Hamas accepts ceasefire in Gaza

Hamas announced that the response to the offer regarding a ceasefire in Gaza was conveyed to the mediators.

Hamas said in a statement that the response was "positive" and added: "We have completed consultations with Palestinian groups to end the ongoing aggression against our people and have responded accordingly."

United States (US) President Donald Trump made a statement regarding the ceasefire process in Gaza while Israel's attacks on Gaza continue since October 7, 2023.

The US President announced that Israel had accepted the conditions for a 60-day ceasefire and expressed hope that Hamas would also accept it.

Trump stated that efforts would be made to end the war completely during a possible 60-day ceasefire.

The US President stated that his representatives held long and productive talks with Israel today, while Qatari and Egyptian mediators were also working on a final ceasefire proposal.

While Trump hopes Hamas will accept the ceasefire, he pointed out that if it does not happen, the situation will get worse.
