İmamoğlu thanks European mayors!

CHP’s imprisoned presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu published a thank you message to the European mayors who attended the Beyoğlu rally and expressed their support for him on his Presidential Candidate Office account.

İmamoğlu used the following expressions in his post:

"I greet our brave people who filled the square of Beyoğlu Municipality, the first municipality established under the name of "Sixth Department" from Silivri.

I also extend my sincere gratitude to the European mayors and representatives who joined our rally in Beyoğlu in difficult times and supported our cause: Mayor of Barcelona and Vice President of EuroCities Jaume Collboni, Mayor of Sofia and President of the B40 Balkan Cities Network Vassil Terziev, Mayor of Athens Haris Doukas, Mayor of Budapest Gergely Karacsony, Mayor of Zagreb Tomislav Tomašević, Mayor of Timișoara Dominic Fritz, Mayor of Utrecht and President of the Union of Dutch Municipalities Sharon Dijksma, Deputy Mayor of Madrid José Francisco Antonaya, Secretary General of Eurocities André Sobczak, and Brescia City Council Member Francesco Tomasini.

The solidarity you have shown strengthens our struggle for the democratic future our Turkey deserves."
