Nearing the end of the $3.5 billion investment

The new financing round of Google and Amazon-backed artificial intelligence startup Anthropic is nearing completion. The company aims to raise $3.5 billion after investor meetings. Thus, its valuation will reach $61.5 after the financing round. According to the Wall Street Journal, Anthropic initially aimed to raise $2 billion with the investment round, but managed to increase the amount during the meetings. The company's investors are expected to include Lightspeed Venture Partners, Menlo Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, General Catalyst, and MGX from Abu Dhabi. Founded in 2021 by former OpenAI employees, Anthropic is among the companies that stand out in artificial intelligence by developing large language models. Anthropic, which is OpenAI's biggest competitor, recently released its new artificial intelligence model called Claude 3.7 Sonnet. Its new artificial model has the ability to think and respond to questions for a period of time determined by users. On the other hand, Anthropic's competitors continue their work. Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company xAI is reported to be in talks for a $10 billion investment round, while OpenAI is expecting an investment of $40 billion.
