The new console could be unveiled in late 2027.According to the YouTube channel "Moore's Law is Dead," which is closely followed by the tech world, Sony is continuing its preparations for the PS6. According to the channel:

These claims seem to have slightly advanced the previously suggested "PS6 will arrive in 2028 at the earliest" view.
MAY COME WITH HAND CONSOLEAccording to the leak, Sony is working on not only a home console but also a handheld console. Like the PlayStation Portal, which is expected to be released around the same time as the PS6 in 2022, this device is expected to directly compete with the Nintendo Switch 2.

- The PS6 will be priced between $500 and $600, while the PS5 currently costs between $400 and $500, depending on the model.
- If pricing is as expected, the PS6 will be cheaper than the current PS5 Pro.
- The handheld console is expected to retail in the $400-$500 range, offering a direct alternative to the Switch 2.
Meanwhile, Sony hasn't yet made an official statement about the PS6. The "Moore's Law is Dead" channel claims to have based this information on "reliable sources," but hasn't provided any visuals or technical documentation.
