Russia: 33 Ukrainian UAVs Downed

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that 33 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were neutralized by air defense systems in various regions of the country and over the Black Sea on the night of July 9.

The ministry's statement said, "While our air defense systems were on duty, 33 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed or intercepted." According to the information shared, 16 UAVs were shot down in the Bryansk Region, five over the Black Sea, four over Crimea, three in the Rostov Region, two in the Kursk Region, and the remainder over the Krasnodar and Voronezh regions and the Sea of Azov.

It was also stated that Russia targeted military targets and defense industry facilities with high-precision air, land and sea-based weapon systems in response to attacks originating from Ukraine.

While there has been no mutual confirmation from the parties regarding the issue, tensions and mutual attacks are reported to continue in the region.
