Students detained for watching sexually explicit films in dormitory mosque

The incident, which allegedly took place at the Sabahattin Zaim Girls' Dormitory on the Sakarya University campus, has had a wide repercussion on social media. According to the allegations, two students staying at the dorm watched a sexually explicit movie in the mosque.

The student in question recorded those moments and shared them on the social media platform X account with the words, "I'm showing my friend a gay movie in the mosque, the ambiance is great. We also ordered pizza but unfortunately we don't have any soda, whoever has some should come. Fathers keep their promises."

Following the reports, Sakarya Police Department Cyber ​​Crime Prevention teams began an investigation into the incident. As a result of the findings made through camera recordings, two female students were detained in their dormitory rooms at around 03:00 at night.
