The first female president of the Super League was seized and blocked!

The bank accounts and movable and immovable properties of Kayserispor, one of the Süper Lig teams, were seized and blocked by the Mimarsan Tax Office on the grounds that the club's president at the time, Berna Gözbaşı, and 16 board members had a total tax debt of 69 million TL, including principal and interest, accumulated in 2020.
Taking action to collect Kayserispor's tax debt, the Mimarsan Tax Office seized and blocked the bank accounts and real estate belonging to the then-president and board members.
Gözbaşı was elected president at the Extraordinary General Assembly in 2019 following the resignation of Chairman Erol Bedir, making history as the first female football club president in the Süper Lig. Gözbaşı, the first female member of the Kayseri Chamber of Industry, was named one of the "Top 10 Entrepreneurs" by the European Business Awards in 2011.
