They left the work to artificial intelligence and started going on vacation

The world of content creation has been experiencing a strange shift recently. The ever-increasing pace of video uploads, algorithmic pressure, and audience expectations have forced content creators to seek alternative solutions. The result? YouTubers are now entrusting themselves to artificial intelligence. While real people continue to create content thanks to digital twins created with voice cloning and deepfake technologies, they themselves are enjoying quiet vacations in Bali, the Greek islands, or the jungle.
The trend is spreading rapidlyAdvanced deepfake technologies can replicate not only images but also facial expressions, muscles, and gestures. Add voice-cloning software to this, and the result is an "artificial YouTuber" so similar to the real one that they're practically indistinguishable from the real one. Without ever appearing on camera, the real YouTuber has their AI-powered avatar read text, automates the editing, and shares new videos with their followers.
This method is currently limited to specific genres like vlogs, infomercials, or product launches. However, the trend is spreading so quickly that some channels have dedicated their entire weekly content to digital imitations.
VIEWERS LOOK FOR QUALITYAn ironic but thought-provoking question: How much do viewers care about the reality of the person they're watching? Some small surveys indicate that a majority of viewers don't care who's presenting the content, as long as it's satisfying and high-quality. Especially on fast-paced platforms, "realism" is giving way to "interaction-driven artificial personalities."
A NEW ERA IS BEGINNINGThis situation, of course, raises ethical and creative questions. For example:
-How reliable is the news or information content presented with an artificial face?
-Does the producer have to inform the viewer that this content is artificial?
-Who will define the difference between “real YouTubers” and “artificial YouTubers” in the future?
Some content creators explicitly state this, posting the hashtag "my AI self made this video." However, for many, this detail is unnecessary and would be better left undisclosed.
