Trump: Patriot Missile Shipments to Ukraine Have Begun, Being Sent From Germany

US President Donald Trump announced the start of a shipment of Patriot air defense missiles to Ukraine. Speaking to reporters on his way back to Washington from Pennsylvania, Trump stated that the missiles had departed from Germany and that Germany's stockpile would be replenished after the shipment.

Trump also emphasized that the US will receive full payment for this delivery. Having previously announced that the shipment's costs were covered by European countries, Trump stated that the deliveries will include not only Patriot missiles but also other air defense systems.

On the other hand, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that the delivery of the Patriots could take months.

Russia, on the other hand, reiterated that any cargo carrying weapons to Ukraine is a legitimate target, arguing that such arms shipments prolong the war and directly involve NATO countries in the conflict.
