Updating the authentication side in Gmail

Published: 26.02.2025 - 20:32
Google currently allows users to authenticate on the Gmail side via SMS, but this system, which reportedly creates security gaps, is pushing Google in another direction. Accordingly, authentication will now be done via QR codes, which are known to be more secure, instead of SMS.
NEW QR CODE SYSTEM FOR GMAILTwo-factor authentication allows users to protect their accounts. This prevents accounts from being compromised. Although the SMS system seems private and secure, some applications have access to SMS messages, and if the application falls into the hands of malicious people, they can access the user's SMS messages.
Google is also taking precautions against those who access people's SMS messages by resorting to methods that the devil would never think of. Google wants to eliminate the password issue and switch to password keys.
