Warning from Meteorology: Beware of Showers and Storms

The Turkish State Meteorological Service has issued a heavy rain and wind warning for August 8th. Temperatures will be above seasonal norms in inland and southern regions. Localized showers are expected in the Marmara, Black Sea, and Inner Aegean regions, while heavy rain is expected in Trabzon, Rize, and Artvin.

Winds of up to 60 km/h will affect the Marmara and northern Aegean coasts, eastern Central Anatolia, and western Eastern Anatolia. Caution is advised against flash floods and storms.

Other provinces where rain is expected include Kırklareli, Tekirdağ, Sinop, Eskişehir, Çankırı, Erzurum, Ardahan, Kars and Erzincan.
