A record-breaking contract for a Polish space company

The value of the contract is EUR 9 million (approx. PLN 38.4 million), and the implementation time is until 2027. The first telescope will be delivered to the partner in 2026.
"The concluded agreement will have a significant impact on the growth of the order portfolio, accelerate the company's development and strengthen its position among the leading European suppliers of optical technologies," Scanway wrote in a press release.
The telescopes delivered by Scanway will constitute the largest class of solutions developed by the company so far and will be based on elements developed within other, similar projects. - This is a direct, consistent implementation of the strategic direction of the company's development - said the company's president Jędrzej Kowalewski.
The company's expected inflow of funds from the implementation of the agreement will amount to approximately 25 percent of the value in 2025, approximately 50 percent of the value in 2026 and approximately 25 percent of the value in 2027. "The agreement includes an advance payment with a value exceeding half of Scanway's total revenue in 2024," the company's information reads.
The contract is the largest in the company’s history for the supply of space equipment – both in terms of volume and total value.
- We have just signed a contract with a model partner for us - it is a constellation company, developing based on the highest imaging resolutions, advanced optics and cooperation with the Western ecosystem. Its offices are located in India and the United States, and these are markets in which we already have experience and are increasingly interested in - comments Kowalewski.
- We will deliver telescopes that will be among the largest solutions developed by the company so far, and this is a direct, consistent implementation of the strategic direction of the company's development - adds President Kowalewski.
The new partner is a leading space entity from South Asia, specializing in satellite constellations for hyperspectral imaging and satellite data processing.
