This European country will have the world's first virtual... minister. He will help fight corruption.

Albania has become the first country in the world to have a virtual minister responsible for public procurement, using artificial intelligence.
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama announced that the minister's name is Diella, which means sun in Albanian, and that she is experienced in public service, having helped citizens use the e-Albania platform for several months.
Now, tenders will be 100 percent corruption-free, and every public dollar contributed to the tender will be completely transparent, said Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Tender decisions will now be made outside the structures of ministries and submitted for comprehensive assessment of their compliance with the adopted criteria.
It is Diella who, using artificial intelligence, will objectively evaluate the offers. These actions are aimed at reducing the shadow economy in the Albanian economy and the pervasive corruption.
This issue is one of the points of contention with the European Commission, which, as part of its annual report on the rule of law in EU candidate countries, accuses Albania of failing to comply with the principles of transparency of EU regulations.
