Ayúdame3D: the Spanish NGO that designs and delivers 3D-printed prostheses for children with amputations in Gaza.

The Spanish NGO Ayúdame3D has delivered the first prosthetics to children who were victims of bombing in the Gaza Strip after months of waiting to receive aid due to the blockade in the area.
Ayúdame3D's motto is "helping is too easy not to," which it embodies by delivering free 3D-printed prosthetics anywhere in the world . This time, its destination is the Gaza Strip, where bombing is causing thousands of deaths, but also leaving children and adults suffering from amputations.
To design and deliver the prostheses, they collaborated with LaudONG, an NGO that supports and provides assistance (health, logistical, and educational) to Palestinian communities affected by the conflict in Gaza and Egypt.
As explained in a press release, Ayúdame3D receives the data of the child who has suffered an amputation, which includes arm and height measurements, in order to design the personalized prosthesis and subsequently print it in its offices.
One of the children who received the aid is 7-year-old Omar, the only survivor in his family after an Israeli bombing of his home just a few weeks ago, in which he also lost his left arm.
"We've created a prosthesis for Omar to improve his quality of life, and we'll continue to do so for all children, as well as adults, who request it free of charge through local organizations. These organizations are taking measurements and photos so we can design, manufacture, and send them to them," explains Guillermo Gauna-Vivas, executive director of Ayúdame3D.
