Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro Surprises with Features and Price

Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro Surprises with Features and Price

With the arrival of the Huawei Watch Fit 4 series, the Chinese manufacturer introduces a Pro variant for the first time, which represents a clear step forward from the basic model. Watch Fit 4 Pro presents itself as an intermediate solution between a smartband and a high-end smartwatch, blending a minimalist aesthetic with advanced health and sports features. Available in Italy at 279 euros, it is placed in the mid-range of the market, but with technical features that challenge much more expensive models.

The Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro is the thinnest model ever made by Huawei in the Fit line, with a thickness of just 9.3 mm. What strikes you at first glance is the balance between lightness and strength: the aluminum case, the titanium alloy bezel and the sapphire glass protect the device without weighing it down, keeping its overall weight around 35 grams. The green version comes with a woven nylon strap, while the black and blue models use fluoroelastomer with a traditional closure.

The AMOLED panel is the visual heart of the Watch Fit 4 Pro. With a diagonal of 1.82 inches and a resolution of 347 ppi, it offers excellent clarity. The maximum brightness of 3,000 nits ensures perfect readability even in bright sunlight, comparable to that of the more expensive Huawei Watch 5. The HarmonyOS interface is optimized for the shape of the display, resulting not only elegant but also very functional. The Raise to Wake function is responsive and precise, while the always-on display is well calibrated in terms of consumption, even if it reduces the overall battery life of the device.

The TruSense system is the biometric engine of the Watch Fit 4 Pro, integrating six sensors to monitor heart rate, blood oxygen, body temperature, respiratory rate, blood pressure and heart rhythm (ECG). According to Huawei, the accuracy of the measurements is close to 98%, with an error margin of less than 2% compared to certified medical instruments. Unlike the Watch 5 and GT 5 Pro models, the Health Glance function is not included, but access to continuous and detailed monitoring through the Huawei Health app remains one of the strengths of the device.

In terms of sports functions, the Watch Fit 4 Pro inherits many of the features seen in the GT series. In particular, it is now possible to upload satellite GPX tracks and view an offline color map, a simplified version of Petal Maps, which activates turn-by-turn navigation only when connected to the smartphone app. The Fit 4 Pro supports over 100 sports modes, and performance monitoring is extremely detailed: distance, cadence, ground contact time, calories, pace, VO2Max and specialized metrics for disciplines such as golf, swimming or rowing.

Under the hood is a 400 mAh battery, identical to the standard Watch Fit 4, but improved in terms of charging thanks to a more efficient TruSense module architecture. A full charge with the included magnetic charger takes about 60 minutes. Standard Qi chargers can also be used, but the speed suffers. Huawei promises up to 7 days of use, but in tests with notifications enabled, AOD disabled and moderate physical activity every two days, the actual battery life stabilized around 6 days. Activating the always-on display drops the battery life to about 4 days. In a power-saving scenario and without AOD, you can get close to 7 full days.

HarmonyOS 5.1 is smooth and well-finished, even if the Watch Fit 4 Pro does not have a third-party app store. The smart features are still sufficient for everyday use: notifications, quick replies, music management, alarms and integration with the gallery of customizable dials. The Watch Fit 4 Pro integrates an NFC module, but the Huawei Wallet system is not yet operational in Italy. Payments are only possible via the Quicko app, a prepaid solution with charging costs, not natively integrated into the watch. There is also no eSIM support, so calls can only be made via Bluetooth, using the integrated microphone and speaker. The quality is acceptable for short conversations, but not always impeccable.

The Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro represents the natural evolution of the Fit line: a device that is closer to the GT series in terms of functionality, but with a thinner, sportier and more elegant design. At 279 euros, it offers premium materials, precision biometric sensors, offline navigation, rich sports compatibility and good battery life. Despite lacking external apps, advanced contactless payment and independent calls, it remains a solid choice for those who want a wearable oriented towards fitness and well-being, in a lightweight format but rich in content. Ultimately, it is an excellent solution for athletes, health-conscious users and lovers of sober but refined design.
