Rio de Janeiro, Oracle and Nvidia reach agreement on AI-City development

"With the 'Rio AI' project City' the Brazilian metropolis Rio de Janeiro does not only want keeping pace with the artificial intelligence revolution but he wants to lead it." The mayor of the capital stated this carioca, Eduardo Paes, who announced today during the Rio Innovation Week an important agreement with two giants of the US technology like Oracle and Envy. The agreement, Paes added, "aims to create one of the most largest artificial intelligence infrastructure in the world with 3 gigawatts of computing capacity powered by clean energy 100%". The CEO of Elea Data also celebrated the agreement Centers, the Italian entrepreneur Alessandro Lombardi, who of the 'Rio AI City' project is a strategic partner. "With this signature, the commitment to make Rio de Janeiro a reality has been expressed. Janeiro a global hub and to invest in our business model Datacenter, rewarding a sustainable, energy project clean, with an inclusive ecosystem. It's a great day for Elea", Lombardi told ANSA. Lombardi also underlined the importance of sovereignty of the data in the current geopolitical context, specifying that "currently 60% of Brazilian data is hosted in the United States United".
