The Aragonese Technology District DAT Alierta will have a forest for which the tender for the drafting of the basic project has just been announced, with a budget of 134,034.57 euros . The project must be carried out in a single phase, and the successful bidders will have a maximum of four months to complete the work .

The Alierta DAT will feature green areas, recreational and social spaces , and will also include the reorganization of road traffic and parking, as well as the creation of new areas for sports use .

These requirements are part of the execution of the urban development of the so-called axes 1 and 2 of the Río Ebro Campus , specifically, the area between María de Luna and Mariano Esquillor streets.

The announcement of this tender was made following the meeting held today between the Government of Aragon and the University of Zaragoza. Within this framework, the Vice President of the Aragonese Executive, Mar Vaquero, explained that the Alierta Technology Park "is not just another technology park like many others around the world. We want to create a unique space with personality that is at the forefront from the very beginning."

"It will be a driving force for transformation, bringing together the talent of researchers, students, and staff from the University of Zaragoza with business innovation and knowledge transfer to society. It will have a major economic and social impact," added Rosa Bolea, Rector of the University of Zaragoza.

The Alierta Technology Center (DAT) was created as a meeting point for the technology sector, universities, and training, research, and innovation centers. Since its announcement in 2024, several steps have been taken. On February 25, the expansion of the Aragon Institute of Technology was announced to include new laboratories, experimental spaces, and collaborative offices with an investment of €7 million.

Subsequently, the establishment of CIRCE was announced with a new headquarters of more than 50,000 square meters, including offices and a laboratory, for which an estimated investment of more than 20 million euros is required. This was followed by a 10 million euro investment for a future building focused on vocational training linked to the technology sector and the renovation of the CEEI Aragón (Center for the Development of Education and Training in Aragon ) with a three million euro investment. Furthermore, on May 12, the call for proposals for the development of the Aragon General Interest Project (PIGA) was issued.
