The Ministry of Health has announced the launch of the fourth round of applications under the National Programme for the Development of Medical Sciences (KPO). Universities can apply for financial support for investment projects related to the construction, modernization, and equipping of facilities used for preclinical education, including the creation of Medical Simulation Centers.

The Ministry of Health has announced a new call for proposals under Investment D2.1.1 of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO). Medical universities can apply for financial support for the development of infrastructure used for preclinical education.

Applications can be submitted from July 16 to August 1, 2025. The competition will be decided in the third quarter of 2025.

According to the regulations for the selection and evaluation of applications, a university that meets all of the following conditions may apply for support:

does not have a negative evaluation of the medical program issued by a resolution of the Polish Accreditation Committee (PKA),
in the academic year 2024/2025, it educates students for a maximum of the second year of medical studies,
as of December 31, 2024, it educated at least 1,000 students in total in all fields of study.

The applicant may receive support for investment projects in the area of:

construction, modernization and equipping of teaching facilities used for pre-clinical education, including the establishment of Medical Simulation Centers.

Additionally, the university may apply for the implementation of investment projects in the field of modernization of libraries at medical universities in order to use their resources without contact and create safe places for independent learning.

modernization of student dormitories belonging to medical universities in order to adapt them to the needs resulting from sanitary requirements.

Universities will be eligible to receive support for the implementation of their proposed project , up to PLN 15 million. The total pool of funds for the call for proposals is PLN 120 million.
