5.2 magnitude earthquake recorded off the coast of Euboea Island

A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck central Greece on Monday night. According to Reuters , the epicenter was off the island of Evia, about 50 kilometers northeast of Athens, at a depth of between 10 and 13 kilometers.

The earthquake was felt at 00:27 local time (22:27 in Lisbon) and so far there have been no reports of injuries or damage caused after the tremor.
Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant. In the 20 minutes following the powerful earthquake, five aftershocks were recorded, with magnitudes ranging from 1.9 to 2.8 on the Richter scale.
