A show of force! Roketsan unveiled its new weapons... Here's Türkiye's first hypersonic missile
The 17th international defense industry fair, IDEF 2025, opened its doors at the Istanbul Fair Center. One of the most anticipated launches at the fair was Roketsan 's new missiles. Six new products developed by Roketsan were introduced.
Among those products were the ATMACA, the AKATA capsule developed as an anti-ship missile capable of being launched from submarines; the GÖKBORA, the beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile capable of being launched from armed UAVs; the Tayfun Block-4, Turkey's longest-range hypersonic ballistic missile; the EREN, the high-speed multi-purpose loitering munition; and the Şimşek-2 satellite launch platform, which has a range of over 500 km and can also be launched from armed UAVs.
THE LONGEST-RANGE HYPERSONIC MISSILE: TAYFUN BLOK-4The new member of the TAYFUN family, Türkiye's longest-range ballistic missile, was also introduced at the fair.
Tayfun, which has hypersonic missile features, can carry a Block-4 multi-purpose warhead.
The 10-meter-long missile has the ability to destroy strategic targets from kilometers away.
The missile's first launch will be made this year and it will enter the inventory as soon as possible.
NEW SPACECRAFT LIGHTNINGŞimşek-2, one of the systems that will carry Türkiye forward in space technologies, was among the products introduced at the fair.
This system will be able to lift satellites weighing 1,500 kilograms into orbit at an altitude of 700 km.
One of the products exhibited for the first time is the AKATA, the submarine-launched version of the ATMACA Anti-Ship Missile in the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces.
This system, which will provide the ability to fire guided missiles underwater, will be able to be used in the defense of the blue homeland with this capsule, which has a range exceeding 250 kilometers.
GÖKBORAThe beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile GÖKBORA was introduced at IDEF 2025.
This system, which can be used in manned and unmanned combat aircraft, is aimed to be an important striking force of the air force.
DOLANNA AMMUNICIPALITY ERENRoketsan's new member EREN was among the missiles introduced.
EREN, a high-speed multi-purpose loitering ammunition, can be fired from UAVs, helicopters and naval platforms.
Additionally, this system can remain airborne for long periods of time and has superior guidance capabilities.
The 300 ER system, which can be used on jet and armed UAV platforms, was also introduced at the defense industry fair.
The 300 ER, a ballistic missile capable of advancing without entering the radar of air defense systems, has the ability to destroy targets with high precision.
