Ability to send messages to Spotify

Spotify, like other social media platforms, is working to add a messaging feature. According to the new announcement, users under the age of 16 will no longer be able to use the messaging feature.

SPOTIFY MESSAGING FEATURE

The feature is being introduced for both premium and free users.

The messaging feature won't include the ability to send messages to anyone. Instead, it will be used for one-on-one conversations between users who have previously interacted with Spotify's shared features, such as Jams, Blends, or Collaborative Playlists, and those who share a Family or Duo plan.

Here, users can start a conversation by accepting message requests or choose not to message by rejecting them.
