Aerospace giant gets $2.8 billion military satellite contract

Aerospace giant gets $2.8 billion military satellite contract

The Evolved Strategic Satellite Communications (ESS) program is designed to provide nuclear weapons management, command, control and communications via satellite for the U.S. President and the Joint Strategic Global Force.

Boeing is scheduled to deliver the first of two satellites by 2031.

On June 30, Fitch confirmed the long-term rating of the American aircraft manufacturer Boeing at the current level of "BBB-", but changed the outlook from negative to stable. This is a big relief for the struggling aviation company.

The reason for such an assessment of the financial situation was the improvement in the company's current liquidity , which results directly from the increase in monthly production of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.

Current deliveries of this single-aisle, long-range aircraft, most sought after by airlines worldwide, are at 38 units per month.

The declaration of the board, which intends to reduce debt to the level of USD 50 billion next year , was welcomed as a positive sign. In addition, as part of the strategic review of the assets held, the sale of the Jeppesen company was planned.
