ASELSAN Revolutionizes the Skies: Adding Power to Türkiye with World-Leading Systems

At IDEF 2025, considered one of the world's most prestigious defense industry trade fairs, ASELSAN launched its best-in-class ASELFLIR 600 Electro-Optical Reconnaissance, Surveillance, and Targeting System, along with T-Link, a national tactical communication solution. With these highly anticipated new systems, ASELSAN will further enhance its effectiveness and deterrence in the Gök Vatan region.
A promotional event was held for the ASELFLIR 600 Electro-Optical Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Targeting System, which ASELSAN showcased for the first time at IDEF 2025, and T-Link, which offers a national solution for tactical communications, with the participation of Air Forces Commander General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu, President of Defense Industries Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of National Defense Bilal Durdalı, and ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol.
In his speech, President of Defense Industries Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün stated that ASELSAN's newly launched cameras are superior to their global counterparts. Görgün stated, "This is not the last camera ASELSAN will develop. ASELSAN will continue to build upon this and produce globally preferred electro-optical systems. We have signed a contract for mass production for our Air Force."
Görgün emphasized that both products can operate within new warfare doctrines, saying, "The importance of each product being produced domestically and nationally is distinct. These products are among the core elements of the Steel Dome. The products are designed to integrate the elements of the Steel Dome with each other and to prevent any misuse."
"Our ASELFLIR 600 Electro-Optical camera is the latest in an adventure that began with embargoes."
ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol stated that they are working to see and target further, and to integrate all systems, saying, "Our ASELFLIR 600 Electro-Optical Camera is the latest installment in an adventure that began with embargoes. After we began working on our cameras to circumvent embargoes, we introduced our camera, which I can call a flying telescope in the sky, to the international arena for the first time. It offers a 30% greater viewing range and laser pointing range than existing cameras. Last week, our camera made its first flight on the Akıncı platform and is now ready for mass production. We have successfully delivered a world-leading camera to our army and nation."
Akyol emphasized the need for integrated operation of all systems on the global battlefield, saying, "T-Link was developed with national resources. We have succeeded in developing an approach that has begun mass production, allowing us to instantly transfer data rather than voice, and to fire missiles from one aircraft using the radar of another."
Best in its field ASELFLIR 600
A pioneering solution in its field, the ASELFLIR-600 will provide superior imaging and targeting advantages to airborne platforms. T-Link A, C, and M/G systems will bring a national and secure tactical communications infrastructure to the field.
The ASELFLIR 600, the aerial platform's sharp eyes in the Sky Homeland, automatically detects and classifies targets thanks to its AI integration. With instant detection, the ASELFLIR 600 allows users to quickly identify enemy elements.
National power in tactical communication
T-Link, the domestic powerhouse of tactical communications, provides a national solution to tactical communications needs in the operational field. T-Link A is part of the T-Link Terminal Network System, which is part of the airborne components. T-Link C will be deployed on unmanned platforms, helicopters, and land vehicles with size, weight, and power constraints. T-Link M/G will provide security forces with superior capabilities on land platforms, naval platforms, and command and control centers.
T-Link Agreement with SSB
The signing ceremony for the T-Link contract, a new-generation technology agreement between the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) and ASELSAN, was also held at IDEF. The National Data Link (T-Link) Project Phase-2 Mass Production and Deployment Contract covers the mass production and integration of products developed under the T-Link Phase-1 Protocol in line with the needs of the Air Forces Command. The groundbreaking contract in next-generation tactical communications was signed between SSB President Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün and ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol. The T-Link System is planned to provide the Turkish Armed Forces with new capabilities and reduce external dependency in the tactical data link area.
