Azerbaijan opened its airspace to Pashinyan's plane

A new development has occurred in relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Armenian Prime Ministerial Spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan announced that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan used Azerbaijani airspace during his international visit on August 30th and during his return.
Baghdasaryan stated that permission was requested from Baku for Pashinyan’s flight and a positive response was received, adding, “We consider this incident a practical step towards lifting communication blockades in the region, advancing the peace agenda, and establishing an environment of mutual trust.”
Azerbaijan has not yet made an official statement on the matter. This development is being viewed as a step that raises hopes for the ongoing normalization process between the two countries.
