Chess pawn learns to capture piece without going diagonally: Website apologizes

Twitter user “Satranç13” contacted Chess.com to report a bug where a pawn would take the adjacent pawn without going diagonally. “What kind of bug is this? Fix your site!” the user complained to the platform and received a flood of support messages.
EXPLANATION FROM THE SITE"It is of course unacceptable for a pawn to capture another pawn without going diagonally. We apologize to anyone who encountered this egregious error," Chess.com's Head of Chess Danny Rensch said in a statement.
"WE WILL NOT GIVE UP"The platform also announced in a humorous tone that they will not give up on this issue until the "rebellious" pawns who violate the rules are brought to justice.
