CHP's Başarır's statement angered AKP's Çelik
CHP Deputy Group Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır, speaking at the 39th Ordinary Bursa Provincial Congress, said, "We will establish a new system, a new order. This is a struggle between the honorable and the dishonorable." Following Başarır's statement, AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik issued a statement. Çelik, who posted on his social media account, targeted the CHP.
Çelik's post is as follows:
The immoral rhetoric of those speaking on behalf of the CHP has turned into an attack on all the values of politics and democracy. CHP leaders are acting as a "hostile network" in the name of opposition. We will not allow this hostile network to destroy our nation's gains. The CHP leadership has now ceased to be "political party" leaders and has transformed itself into a "center of hostility production." We condemn the attacks of this hostile cadre against our President, our People's Alliance, and our party. We will respond to these immoral attacks without compromise on political and legal grounds.
